FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: DEMO INTERNATIONAL 2008

March 27, 2008 - The Canadian Woodlands Forum (CWF) is officially announcing its flagship event: DEMO International 2008 during the CWF Spring meeting April 3, 2008 at the Delta Beausejour in Moncton. The 11th edition of DEMO, happening September 18-20th, will mark the first time the event is hosted east of Quebec.

The world-class event is one of North America’s largest and most unique outdoor equipment shows featuring over 100 exhibitors on a 3km loop in the forest for a three-day live exhibition of forestry-related equipment. Occurring only every four years, the 2008 show is the first time DEMO will be hosted in the Maritimes.

Ledwidge Lumber, a family-owned sawmill in Enfield, Nova Scotia, is bringing the show to the Atlantic region and more specifically, Halifax Regional Municipality. Located on one of Ledwidge Lumber’s sustainably-managed woodlots, DEMO will be just 30 minutes from the Halifax International Airport.

Attracting any and all individuals interested in forestry from around the world, past DEMO shows have seen anywhere from 5,000 – 16,000 attendees. The 2008 show will be no different with hotels from Halifax to Truro booking up with international guests.

Media are invited to attend the official announcement of Demo at the CWF Spring Meeting Luncheon, Thursday, April 3, 12:30pm. Please RSVP to asawyer@cwfcof.org
