Ledwidge Lumber Celebrates National Forest WeekSecond Annual Open House on Thursday, Sept 28 a SuccessOctober 2, 2006 - This year Canada's National Forest Week was the last week of September. To celebrate, Ledwidge Lumber hosted their 2nd Annual Open House Day where the local community - especially business associates, and friends and family of employees, were invited out to enjoy an educational tour of Ledwidge Lumber's state-of-the-art facility. With the Open House tours being offered from 12-3pm on Thursday afternoon over 60 visitors in total stopped by for a piece of cake and an hour-long tour. It was a beautiful day with both young and old getting excited over the heavy equipment working in the yard and the technology that is involved in our operations from start to finish. Popular comments after a tour was finished was just how surprised guests were of how much technology is really involved in a sawmill today. Ledwidge Lumber plans on continuing National Forest Week events every year and is making plans for involving local schools for 2007.
